Fontana MaggiorePerugia's Fontana Maggiore:

The heart and soul of proud Perugia is the famous fountain gracing the city's monumental Piazza November IV. The greatest sculptors of the late 13th C, Nicola and son Giovanni Pisano, adorned it with a veritable medieval encyclopedia of allegorical, religious, civic and historical characters. Few medieval monuments so perfectly marry artistic form with content, or project it so powerfully into the present.

The fountain has been recently restored and can finally be enjoyed in it's pristine beauty.
