I am, among other things, a writer of fantasy and science fiction. In 1994, I attended Clarion West, which was probably the single most formative experience of my writing career. It was the best sleep-deprived six weeks of my life. Thanks to Clarion West, I now know other fantasy and science fiction writers to share both pain and joy with.
I have published five pieces of short fiction in seven places (including one French translation and a mass market edition of a trade paperback anthology) and completed seven unpublished novels, all of which I hope to find homes for someday. I'm also an aficionado of Early Music, animals in general, and dolphins in particular.
I have been writing fiction for over twenty-five years. It took me fifteen years and almost 70 rejections to actually sell my first short story. I'm now at over 300 rejections and counting.
