    1. Start with 58, subtract 22, then take the square root [6]
    2. What is the area of a triangle whose base is 8 in. and whose height is 7 in? [28 sq. in.]
    3. What is 2 1/2 + 2 1/2 + 2 1/2 + 2 1/2? [10]
    4. What is 800 x 20? [16,000]
    5. What is 30% of 90? [27]

  2. (5 min) Review of homework #23 (<= 3 problems)

  3. (10 min) Review of the first half of the year.
    Just work through the following problems, asking the students for help:
    1. Fractions:

      (Let students change this to a mixed number)
    2. Geometry:Find the area of the shaded part:

    3. Angles:Find angle "A":
    4. Negative numbers:
             8  -  12  = - 4
     - 4  -   4  = - 8
     (- 4)(- 4)  = + 16
      (Remind students that parentheses next to each other means multiply)
    5. Algebra: For A = 6, B = 9, C = 3:

      A - B = 6 - 9 = - 3


      Solve:

      3A - 88 = 32
      3A = 120
      A = 40
