A square field is
used to make 4 equal-sized baseball fields. (Note that the outside of a baseball field is circular or part of a
circle.)  The concession area is in the
middle of the square field that is not part of the baseball fields. If each outfield fence (or the circular
outside boundary of the baseball field) is 300 feet from home plate, what is
the area of the concession area (shaded)? (Use 3.14 for pi). )
5. A circle of radius 8 cm is cut into 6 equal parts. A concentric (with the same center) circle
is then drawn with a radius of 4 cm. What is the area of the shaded sector? (Use 3.14 for pi).
