Fall has arrived, our hometown team, the Seattle Mariners, are in the Playoffs, and the leaves are beginning to turn bright colors in celebration.

In this journal we offer perspectives on educational change from the future to the present, from Seattle to India, and from the arts to technology.  Dee Dickinson considers the future of education, Kathy Bartlett shares reports from successful inclusion sites in Washington, Jill Hearne and Barbara Maurer explore gifted education, and Alisa Beth Kahn shares information about assistive technology for special needs children.   Christine Goodheart and Alan Warhaftig make a case for arts in education, and Meredith Eppel introduces the new National Arts Learning Foundation.  Articles on new technologies come from Bonnie Bracey, Kimberly Weichel of Equal Access, and Steven Randolph of Jiva.  Gordon Dryden, Shirley McCune, Launa Ellison, and Susan Byers examine how to achieve educational excellence.
