So What Next for the Wine Thing?

Since I have come this far a number of people have asked me if I intend to start my own winery. I really don't know that I would at this point; it's incredibly expensive, the economy is not very good, and I think Washington State has a large number of new 'ultra-premium' wineries that are vying for the same piece of the pie. At the same time, if I thought I could do something unique and worthwhile I would consider it seriously.

What I do know is that I really wanted to make wine, and now I am. Whether I also make a living at it is beside the point. I'll keep working away at it in the garage and see what comes of it. At the very least I'll have some good wine to drink while I reminisce about what could have been.
