The Winemaking Process

In this section I have outlined the basic process that I have used to make wine. This is not intended to be a complete guide for the practicing home winemaker, but rather, an overview for those not familiar with the process.

The statements made in this section are only meant to apply to the type of wine that I have made: red Bordeaux blends from Washington State fruit. Even in this broad arena there are still many different techniques that can be used successfully.

I don't want to tell you what to do, just tell you what has worked for me.
