Much Ado About Old Grape Juice

Wine is a funny thing. Some people don't drink it at all. Some people drink it without thought. Some people drink it and seem to spend an inordinate amount of their waking life thinking, tasting, and talking wine.

I'm not sure what gives wine the gift of captivation, but there is something about it that is unique. Nothing completes a meal quite like it. Nothing warms the fireside quite like it. Nothing cools the hot afternoon quite like it.

I'll admit that I'm more extreme than some — though defintely tamer than others — and that wine holds a prominent position in my life.
